On April 20, April Hughes took part in the discussion "The Move Forward: Sustainability & Resiliency in Infrastructure & Design"at the Building Leadership: Conference for Women in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction. The panel also featured Rachel Minnery, Senior Director of Sustainable Development Policy at the American Institute of Architects, and Fiona Cousins, Fellow, Principal, Mechanical Engineering and Sustainability Consulting at ARUP.
An advocate for sustainable and resilient design, April discussed the importance of implementing new strategies to make old infrastructure, as well as affordable infrastructure more self-sufficient.
